You can learn a new skill and walk away with something cool that YOU made all in the same day.  Quokka Workshops are project based and usually can be completed in a few hours or so.  

 

Embroidery, Modern Tapestry, Macrame, you name it… the method and media can change; it’s the act of slowing down & working with your hands that does something magical for your wellbeing.  Quokka Workshops encourage you to focus on the tactile experience of making as a way of connecting with your inner creativity.

Workshops are developed to be beginner friendly.  We always start with the basics.  Once the class gets going on a project, we love to work with individuals to help bring out their personal style.  Experimentation, taking risks, and leaving perfectionism at that door are all strongly encouraged. 

 

Some workshop examples: Modern Tapestry Botanical Weaving, Upcycling by Surface Darning, Shibori Furoshiki, Macrame & Metal Wall Hanging, and Modern Floral Embroidery.
